More than anything else, though, there’s one thing they need from us that gives him support, encouragement, and love all rolled into one. Tammy Wynette’s song Stand By Your Man rang through my mind throughout that day. Last Sunday ( Behind Your Strong, Godly Man), we went over our number one role as a wife. Pray that prayer with confidence, because it’s His Will!Īnd, yes. Anything that God created as good…it’s His will that we have it. If Satan is trying to tear your family apart, you KNOW it’s God’s will for your family to be whole. This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. He changed me…to the point of standing on His promises in confidence that He would do it…because of this one verse. Then, as I read promise after promise in His word, He answered my question. Such sweet words of love and support!Īs I began reading the book, this thought was on my mind.įor months, I prayed for God to be willing to answer my prayer. They not only pray for you, they encourage you. To give me hope in the midst of a trial, my dear friend G sent me Priscilla Shirer’s book God Is Able. Yes, God is able! Absolutely true statement. Her words reminded me of something important we should probably discuss. ![]() My blogging friend Pam at Everyday Living commented on last week’s post about throwing a fit, God can take it. A child hooked on drugs – and/or selling. These are a few of what’s on my prayer list recently for friends and their families – and sometimes acquaintances. If you think you’re alone – the only one with troubles – you’re mistaken. Now, that’s another promise we can cling to! Many are the afflictions of the righteous,īut the Lord delivers him out of them all. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. And, hear this: He gives us far better than what we asked. He answers prayers in ways we sometimes don’t quite understand. When God takes longer than you expect to answer your prayers, do you doubt Him? Or, do you relax, understanding that God works in His own timing?
